Logan S. Herring Executive Director/Co-Founder
Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, Logan S. Herring is the only grandchild of the late Reverend Otis Herring, who was a prolific leader and philanthropist in the city of Wilmington. Logan began his work with children at the age of fourteen as a camp counselor and mentor at the Fraim Boys and Girls Club, where he worked every summer until his departure for college in 2000. That year he graduated from Sanford School, where he was a first-team all-state soccer player in 1999 and led the team to a conference championship.
Logan went on to graduate from Goucher College in Towson, MD in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. At Goucher he was the captain of the men’s basketball and soccer teams, won 3 all-conference awards for soccer, and was given the Coaches’ Award, which is presented to the most influential student athlete every year in the school. During his years at Goucher he served as a summer reading counselor, sports camp counselor, and tutor to the inner city youth of Baltimore, MD.
Currently, Logan works for the Red Clay Consolidated School District running their new Out of School Suspension Support Program for middle school students, while also attending graduate school pursuing a Masters in the Arts of Teaching. For the past 4 years, Logan has returned to his alma matter, Sanford School, and where he has coached soccer, basketball, and baseball.

Local Wilmington, Delaware native, Eugene attended St. Mark’s High School where he was senior captain of the men’s basketball team. While playing for St. Mark’s he received honors such as first team All Catholic Conference, selected First team of the Kappa Classic Tournament, and recipient of the St. Mark’s Sportsmanship Award.
Eugene earned an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Becoming a starter his sophomore year, Eugene was ranked among the top ten for shot blocks during a Northeastern Conference Tournament game, was a senior captain, and received the “Unsung Hero” award during his sophomore and junior seasons.
Throughout college Eugene remained involved in a variety of community service and volunteer engagements in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. Eugene graduated from UMBC with a B.A in Sociology and B.A in Information Systems. In addition, he has obtained a Masters in Public Administration from Wilmington University and has studied Non-Profit Management at the University of Delaware. In 2011 he was selected to attend the Clinton Global Initiative University held at UC San Diego, as well as the Robert J. Thompson Eastern Leadership Fellowship Program. Currently, Eugene serves as a Legislative Aide for the Delaware House of Representatives. |
